Lonely Planet Corsica (Travel Guide) Reviews
I rarely get much out of guide books but I always seem to buy one before a trip. This book has great maps and information on the island. I really feel prepared for what I'll want to do and see prior to traveling rather than getting there and winging it. I now know that I'll want to go back and stay much longer on this beautiful island with beautiful people.
I have tons of lonely planet guide books, so i ordered the new one on corsica without thumbing through a copy. It doesn't read like a typical lonely planet guidebook, doesn't list many hotels, doesn't include camp sites, and it's hard to look up information on the sites that interest me. Even the font is less readable than their usual. It just isn't up to standards of their other guide books.
This book is great. I visited two regions on the island, and found almost everything I need to know in this book. The only drawback in preparing for travel is the lack of pictures.
Book in very good shape and self explanatory. I am going to take it with me in my travels to Corsica.
These books are great. I know much of this info is available on line but nothing like a good book. Who can beat Amazon!
The book met more than my expectatons. I thought I was purchasing a used book, but it was new. Great!
